One Punch Man Gets Official Saitama Live-Action For A Game

Posted on September 29, 2022

One-Punch Man finally got a live-action adaptation, but we don’t think that’s what fans were hoping for. Yusuke Murata and ONE’s One Punch Man series has been very successful in anime and manga; however, the series is not that popular in the gaming department.

One Punch Man: The Strongest is a smartphone video game released in Japan in June 2019 by GREE and FingerFun Limited. However, the world debut in English took place on September 22. They decided to do a commercial to promote the game to an international audience.

As we can see, the clip focuses on Saitama in his typical yellow costume, his head shining as usual. When the hero starts rapping, things quickly take a turn for the worst. Unfortunately, Genos isn’t there to stop Saitama from embarrassing himself in public.

If you want to see the “real” live-action Saitama, you’ll have to wait a bit longer, but the live-action Saitama is currently brewing in an official One Punch Man Hollywood movie adaptation by Sony Pictures.

The mobile game “One Punch Man – The Strongest” was officially launched in US/EU regions on September 22. The game is available on App Store and Google Play.

Saitama started being a hero just for fun. After three years of “special” training, he has become so powerful that he can defeat his opponents with a single punch. Now, alongside Genos, his loyal cyborg follower, Saitama is ready to begin his official duties as a professional hero working with the Hero Association. However, the frequency of monster appearances increases and it seems more and more that the prediction of the great seer Madame Shibabawa on the fate of Earth is coming true. In the midst of this crisis, the “hero hunter” Garou makes his own appearance.
